The Royal Thai consulate general said in a statement: “From March 1, 2017, until August 31, 2017, Thailand will launch a temporary visa fee exemption scheme and a temporary visa on arrival fee reduction scheme. All applicants applying for tourist visa (single entry) to Thailand during the aforementioned period will be exempted from the visa fee.

During the period from 01 March 2017 to 31st August 2017. Visa on arrival (VoA) fee will be decreased from 2,000 THB (Thai Baht) to 1,000 THB for applicants of nationalities. Which are entitled for VoA at designated Immigration Check Points.
“Indians who used to take a Thai visa in India and used to pay a visa fee (single entry) of Rs 2,000 along with VFS handling charges of Rs 335. Now those seeking a visa before leaving for Thailand will not have to pay Visa Fee. And will only need to pay VFS handling charges. The documents submitted for seeking. Thailand Visa in India should be appropriate and no false information should be provided for obtaining visa. Visa is on the sole discretion of Thai Embassy. Thai Embassy reserves the right to issue the Visa to Indian Nationals.
